Tote Save Channel 4 Racing

The corporate arm of tote have announced live on the BBC they have signed a deal with Channel 4 Racing for a £3 million sponsorship deal to keep channel 4 in the business of airing live horseracing for the next year. The nanny goat (tote) have a 1 year extension option built in to furthre sponsor Channel 4 racing.

The full deal to sponsor channel 4 racing is worth £5 million. The other 2 million will come from "other racing sources" whatever that means. No mention was made as to the exact details of who the "other horseracing sources" were.

So, Channel 4 racing will stay on air. Good news for the racing industry and horseracing enthusiasts, punters etc alike.
