BBC - QPR keen on a cut-price Langley According to the BBC,
Richard Langley is on Ian Holloway's shortlist.
Holloway said >> "Cardiff are paying him double what we were and I can't meet those wages," said Holloway, who sold the 25-year-old to Cardiff for £250,000 in August 2003.
"I can understand why some Cardiff fans don't like Richard but you have to give him a chance. He's a terrific player."
QPR Blog Comment >> It was upsetting to see Richard Langley leave QPR to sign for
Cardiff - who beat us in the 2nd division play-off final in 2003. Especially as it was Richard Langley's hothead that got him suspended from playing in that infamous playoff final. That day, Gallen had to fill in at right midfield in Langley's absence, with Richard Pacquette taking Gallen's place up front. It was Richard Pacquette's last game for QPR, which talls me all I need to know about how Holloway felt about Pacquettes performance on the big day.
Richard Langley will have to play some and then some if he sign's, to be forgiven by many QPR fans for leaving us to go to Cardiff of all teams.
I will support Langley, but am still not happy with Richard atall. I get the feling Langley won't agree to a sign up for a 50% pay cut to return to QPR, so I doubt Langley will be coming back anyhow.
