Wayne Rooney won the man of the match award for his performance in the
Man Utd FA Cup final penalties defeat by
Arsenal I thought
Cristiano Ronaldo was man of the match, but Rooney got it somehow. Rooney was playing almost as a right winger. I am not sure why Ferguson does not just play Rooney up front next to
Van Nistelrooy and be done with it.
Rio Ferdinand played well for Man Utd and even got the ball in the back of the net, but it was disallowed. England international cover right back
Wes Brown was impressive. A more talented right back that
Gary Neville and should look to remove Neville from the England team and the Man Utd team as soon as he can get fit enough to play a few games in a row without getting injured.
Arsenal England international
Ashley Cole got forward quite well for Arsenal, who admittedly spent about 70 minutes behind the ball.
Unfortunately,
Sol Campbell was left out by Arsene Wenger for Senderos. Maybe Alex Ferguson will take the hint and buy Campbell, to pair Sol up with Rio.
I do not recall any other England Internationals out there today in the FA cup final.
