Interestingly enough, Peter Crouch and Andy Johnson are both now 1st division championship strikers now after Palace and Southampton went down. Interesting because if England get a poor result in the USA friendly, the press and the radio talkshows will be abuzz with talk of England manager Sven Goran Eriksson errantly fielding mediocre players, therefore cheapening the England shirt somehow. The fact Crouch and Johnson need a run or two or a few to find out if they are good enough to operate on the international stage effectively, will be lost in the furore.
