QPR 1 Furlong 53
Gillingham 1Flynn 17
Attendance 16,431
Gillingham almost see any game against any London club as a derby match. Gillingham are also fighting for their lives and it showed in the first half. Gillingham caused us no end of trouble for quite long spells of the first half and took what could be considered a deserved first half lead into half time.
Second hal;f was nearly all Rangers, fans player of the season to be Paul Furlong put away his 17th goal of the season after a through ball from Lee Cooke. After that it was nearly all Rngers, with the odd scare, but to no avail. Most memorable was the goalmouth 3 man duck shoot, where Rangers had 3 goes in a row at putting the ball away for the 3 points.
No joy after all.
Maybe we can reach the playoffs still, but need to improve our form quite a bit. It would be helpful if Matthew Rose were'nt so injury prone. Rose is not even a left back and still outplays Padula all too regularly, which is saying something. What has happened to Padula? Hwe was class last season.
Anyway, for a proper match report, you could always read the
QPR Official Site Gillingham Match Report for an in depth review of the procedings.
