Champions League Betting Odds - Brief Analysis

Tuesday 12/04/2005 Bayern Munich V Chelsea
Previous Result :: Chelsea 4 Bayern 2 ::
In a barnstorming game at Stamford Bridge Chelsea came out of the champs league quarters with a healthy 4-2 lead. A 2 goal advantage is a good one, but the tie is far from over. I see Chelsea just going through to the semi finals in the end, but it will be close. I take Chelsea to lose for single betting purposes at 11/8 with Coral.

♠ Selection :: Bayern Munich Home Win (11/8 coral)
Tuesday 12/04/2005 Inter Milan V AC Milan
Previous Result :: AC Milan 2 Inter Milan 0 ::
AC V Inter Milan is usually a tight affair. You can forget the home and away venues, as they share the ground. AC Milan do not need to win and Inter will have to attack but won't as usual. The match will end in a draw for single betting purposes.♠ Selection :: Drawn Match 11/5 Betdaq
Wednesday 13/04/2005 Juventus V Liverpool
Previous Result :: Liverpool 2 Juventus 1 ::
Liverpool are deep trouble. A very creditable 2-1 win at home will not be enough to hold off Juventus on wednesday. Gerrard is struggling for fitness. If he plays he won't be flying and is prone to dissappear in the big games for long spells when not fully fit or tired, which happens quite a bit.

An easy home win for Juventus is on the cards.♠ Selection :: Juventus 4/7 Betfair (8/15 coral and sporting-bet)
Wednesday 13/04/2005 PSV Eindhoven v Lyon
Previous Result :: Lyon 1 PSV 1
PSV manager Gus Hiddink played it tight away from home at Lyon, but will most certainly send his team out on the attack in the home tie. PSV's natural attacking ability will come to the fore, but in so doing, will leave Lyon room to make the game an end to end affair.

I take the match to end in a 2-2 draw, so for single betting purposes, I will be on the draw for sure.
