UK Wirral Based Referee Mike Dean Suspended In Another Betting Scandal

English Referee Mike Dean has a racing syndication website called
Arbitros Racing - Arbitros is spanish for "referees".

The Premier League said referee Mike Dean had been suspended indefinitely by the PGMO (Professional Game Match Officials).

The board of the Professional Game Match Officials Ltd have suspended referee Mike Dean with immediate effect after receiving information regarding his involvement in an on-line racehorse syndicate.

The board will now investigate whether Mike Dean has breached his employment contract with PGMO, which requires officials to notify and seek approval of various other activities - including additional employment or the use of their status as a PGMO official for promotional purposes.

Mike Dean was booked to referee the Newcastle V Bolton game today, but has been suspended indefinately until the racing and betting scandal investigation is completed.

GAMblog comment :: Hot on the heels of the German Football Betting Scandal and not to mention the less notoroius Czech Football Betting Scandal I think a story with an English referee involved in another betting scandal is unfortunate timing.

The News Of The World uncovered the story which detracts weight from the story, not adds to it heheh.. Will just have to wait and see what Mike Dean has been up to, if anything. It's not like Referee Mike Dean's Contact Page tries to hide his involvemnt in the Arbotros Racing horseracing syndicate. Quite the contrary. Mike Dean signs off and leaves his email with his proper name there.
