The UK Gambling Blog reports on an apparent "mobile phone betting scam".
The Alledged Betting Scam Consists of a Mobile Phone and the Internet and someone watching a live football match. A goal is scored, a phone call made to Hong Kong, someone in Hong Kong bets on the next goalscorer in the time it takes the betting in running firms to recieve the goal info, redo the prices and post them on the net.

Overseas 'spies' in betting scam
Twenty people - 18 men and two women, aged 18 to 35 - were arrested.
The police also seized 21 computers, financial records and betting slips.
The gangsters, with connections to the Wo Shing Wo triad society, have also been acting as underground bookies and accepting illegal football bets locally.
Squad commander Ian Chow Ngai Kong said that the flats were used solely for betting operations.
'We believe the scale of their operation would not be small, given they have sent people to countries like England, Holland, Spain and Portugal,' he said.
'While (the overseas contacts) watch the matches, they stay in contact with the people at Yoho Town on an IDD call.
'There are speakers attached to each of the computers, and the (people in Hong Kong) listen to the latest happenings. If there are developments, like when someone scores, they would know instantly.
'However, it takes time before the Internet betting pages are updated. So before that happens and bets are no longer accepted, they place a winning bet.
'The gangsters usually placed bets of HK$10,000 ($2,130) or more each time,' Mr Chow said.
GAMblog comment :: This football and mobile phone betting scam loophole should have been closed long ago. What on earth are the online bookies thinking?
I am not even convinced this is a scam. If the price is there to take, then take it. Just because you know the result does not mean you should not take the price on offer at the time does it?
