Bookie Suspends The Betting Because Of Unusual Betting Patterns On "Apprentice 2" Reality TV Show

CNN have an interesting gambling story relating to USA Reality TV Shows and Unusual Betting Patterns

Bet WWTS have reacted quickly to suspend betting because of suspicions about unusual betting patterns involving US reality TV show called "The Apprentice"

Reality TV comes under the heading of "special bets" as far as gambling and odds go. The bookies in general in my experience have not done too well from pricing up reality tv shows. Nadia, the latest winner of the uk reality tv programme Big Brother, landed odds of 50-1. Apparently there were a lot of people on at 50's and once again the bookies were left licking their wounds after another shafting from reality tv show punters.

USA based reality tv show The Apprentice 2 had the bookies attention, before the betting even started, because they (Bet WWTS) have been hit before by some unusually large winning bets on previous reality tv shows.

This year Bet WWTS ran for cover when a stream of unusually large bets came in for the 2 contestants at around the same time.

Bet WWTS wagering director Stuart Doyle said "This is the fourth reality-TV-related incident on which BetWWTS has suspended wagering because of unusual betting patterns".

Last year, CBS's Survivor Pearl Islands"winner Sandra Diaz Twine received numerous wagers from Vancouver, British Columbia, before the first episode even aired. Similar incidents occurred during "Survivor - The Amazon" and the second installment of ABC's The Bachelor.

"We are considering not offering betting on reality shows that have been pre-taped," said Doyle. "It simply seems impossible not to have to suspend them very quickly."

Two Iraqi aid workers, Raad Ali Aziz and Mahnaz Bassam, kidnapped alongside the two Simona's, were also freed.

All were treated well by their captors apparently. One could argue that is a contradiction of terms, but there you go.

Cctv pictures show car drivers swerving around female assault victim

CCTV footage from a 321 bus clearly shows drivers maneuver to avoid the woman, who was lying in the road with blood pouring from a head wound.

The female victim, who has not been named, was found outside the CocaCola Industrial Park on the B2174 Cray Road near Footscray, south east London, at 2.15pm on Monday September 20.

She was taken to a South London hospital where she is now in a stable condition.

Spurs Manager Jacques Santini Questions The Referee's Half Time Behaviour

Tottenham FC Manager Jacques Santini says he is unsure of why the referee (Peter Walton) was in the Man Utd dressing room at half time during Spurs 1-0 home defeat to Man Utd.

According to Mr Santini, the ref was laughing and joking with the Man Utd, even though the ref had just given Man Utd a rather dubious penalty for a foul on O'shea. To be honest the foul did'nt look much like a foul to me as 2 players were challenging for the ball and had a hold of each other.

Most interesting is Ruud Van Nistelroy denies the referee was in their dressing room at half time atall, to his knowledge.

Anyway, Jacques Santini will probably get fined for his comments. Funnily enough it is NOT THE Spurs Manager Santini who has brought the game into disrepute by begging the "bias" question.

It is indeed the referee who leaves himself wide open to the accusation of "bias or favouritism" if he is stupid enough to mill around 1 dressing room being mr joviality, but not in the other.The Spurs Blog have not picked up on the story yet but they will right?

The Spurs Manager openly questioning the referee's integrity is certainly Spurs News. Funny thing is I cannot find any trace of it on the internet as yet. I think this one will run and run actually ~ we shall see.

Sky Sports morning football programme, aptly named Soccer am have started a campaign to get the word bouncebackability into the Oxford English Dictionary

Helen Chamberlain (hells bells) is the main campaign protagonist. Sure enough though Helen from Soccer am has a point because the word bouncebackabilty is often used.

Crystal Palace manager Iain Dowie was one of the first to use "bouncebackability" in a sentence to describe a football team that comes from a losing position to a winning one.

I shall keep up with Helen Chamberlain's Bouncebackability Campaign on Soccer am to see how it goes. I wonder if it will be as successful as the Save Chip Campaign and actually get into the Oxford English Dictionary? I think so.

Liverpool FC has an interesting story on it at the moment.

It clams that some Liverpool fans are shocked by the Man Utd Official site because Man Utd have printed some rather silly remarks about the Spanish contingent that have descended upon the scousers.

An Excerpt of the story ::

Manchester United's official website, Man Utd.com could be the subject of a police investigation after publishing a guide to abusing Liverpool's players and supporters in Spanish.
Considering relations between the two sets of supporters is volatile at the best of times with some fans from both teams being subjected to brutal assaults throughout the years when Liverpool and Manchester United have met, police are thought to believe the decision to publish the article on an official website is particularly irresponsible.

The article appears on the club's official website under the section Fanzone and is billed as "Fanzone presents 'Spanish Scouse-Baiting' as Benitez's Hispanic Liverpool visit Old Trafford".

The article then goes on to explain the Spanish translations for some of the sickest chants directed at Liverpool supporters over the years - including "Build a bonfire, build a bonfire, put the Scousers on the top", "You find a dead rat and you think it's a treat, in your Liverpool slums" and "Feed the Scousers. Let them know it's Christmas time."

Gamblog Comment :: I am not too bothered by what the Man Utd website says, what bloody bothers me is their website is the most trashy peice of crap for a top football club I have ever seen.

Not because it's ugly, or content-less, or anything, it's because they could not give a toss about whether the load time for users is 20 seconds or 20 years.

The UK Everton Blog have printed an email sent by a rather digruntled fan to The BBC

The problem is Peter Schmeichel has shares in Proactive (wayne rooney's agents) and said while commentating that Wayne Rooney should leave Everton to go to any other club but the Blues.

Mr Colin Wilkes, a 50 year + long Everton fan, thinks that the BBC should not allow Schmeichel to ply his wares or interests and demands an answer as a BBC Tax Payer. After 3 emails he has received only an auto reply and has gone public.

Conundrum :: These matches are often draws and Evens on Man Utd at home is not a bad price, so I suppose neither of those will happen and Liverpool will win 8-0.
