Boxing | Bare Knuckle Fight Video ~ Backyard Brawl

After watching the Tyson fight with Danny Williams I took a look around the blogging scene to see what gives.

I found on Grandpa's Slice of Chaos Blog a post by Roland about a Scary Looking Character who in a fight video he found on the Mucho Sucko website proceded to show off a lethal looking beard, some decent boxing skills and an almost perfectly executed left hook.

Be warned though this is a bare knuckle fight from a backyard somewhere in America.

Also be warned the losing fighter looked like he might have lost more than just a bit of pride and a sidebet on a bare knuckle fight.

Online Bookies Braced For More Denial Of Service Attacks

Denial Of Service Gangs Will Target British Bookies Again And Again ~ Mark My Words

Rueters are reporting more denial of service attacks are likely to be forthcoming with a news report about Russian Hackers Threatening British Bookies Again

By Oliver Bullough

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Young, smart Russian hackers are posing an increasing threat to global business following last week's arrest of an online extortion ring that cost British companies up to 38.5 million pounds.

Russia, with its highly educated workforce and inefficient police, has become infamous for computer piracy and crime.

"People used to be scared of the Russian mafia, now they are scared of Russian hackers," police Lieutenant-general Boris Miroshnikov told President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, according to Itar-Tass news agency.

Last week, British police announced a joint operation had smashed a small group of Russian hackers who had extorted money from British banks and betting firms.

But Russian police said this particular racket was just the tip of the iceberg.

"There are no more attacks against these specific companies, but no one is safe from such attacks," said Yevgeny Yakimovich, head of the interior ministry's section 'K', which battles hi-tech criminals.

"All firms with money are under threat, no one is safe... Any organisation with access to the internet is open."

He declining to name the British companies affected.

In the scheme, which operated for nearly a year and cost the firms as much as 40 million pounds in lost business and damages, hackers overloaded targeted computers by swamping them with information.

Rather than lose a day's business, the firms paid the hackers money to stop them attacking their computers again. The young Russians netted some $40,000 before being caught.

The government has frequently ordered police to intensify the fight against computer crime.

But one of the problems they face is that hackers can be based far apart.

Those arrested in the joint Russian-British operation were based in Moscow, St Petersburg and near the Volga town of Saratov and may never have physically met.

"Every year the amount of crimes go up. There were 233 last year, and there have been more than 600 already this year," said Yakimovich. "This goes on every day but we don't always hear about it."

Police said most hackers were young and educated, worked more or less independently and did not fit most police profiles of criminals.

It was not clear exactly how many were detained last week. They have not been charged yet, but could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted of extortion.

"This was not a normal organisation, everyone sat at home and everyone had their role," said Valery Syzrantsev, head of the interior minister's investigations department.

"These are really not the kind of criminals we are used to dealing with."
Gamblog comment :: It will never stop while online gambling is unregulated. Denial of service gangs will be watching out for themselves from UK and Russian police etc but know there is little else to worry about.

Big Brother Betting | Wednesday Eviction Prices

Big Brother Wednesday Eviction Betting, Odds and Prices.

Big Brother Presenter Davina McCall has just said goodby to latest evictee from the Big Brother house, Michelle Bass.

Davina mentioned there will be another eviction on wednesday.

The voting has started for this years Big Brother Winner. People can ring in for their favourite Big Brother housemate for the whole of next week. On wednesday though the last placed housemate at that time in the voting will be evicted and the competition will carry on until friday.

That means there will be Big Brother Betting, Odds and Prices for wednesdays eviction. available I guess.

When the prices come through for wednesdays eviction I will stick them up here.

Who will be evicted from the Big Brother house on wednesday and who will be the Big Brother outright winner are two completely different things. It seems Nadia will win somehow but who come wednesday will have the least votes and get evicted is much harder to predict. Maybe the bookies will get it wrong?

Big Brother Eviction | Michelle Chicky Bass Is Evicted

News from the Big Brother house is no real surprise with Michelle Bass (chicky) being the last evicted member.

Figures. Cross my fingers no one took my advice on this one.

Betting Shop Counter Set Alight By Robber Who Was Refused Cash.

Betting Shop Counter Set On Fire By Robber

I wrote the other day about The Huddersfield Bookie Shop Jack Pearson's being robbed at gunpoint if you recall. The report about a Masked Gunman Robbing A Betting Shop was well timed because The BBC television crime fighting programme called Crimestoppers are appealing for information alongside the police for someone to come forward regarding a robber setting a betting shop counter on fire when the bookie staff refused to hand over cash.

The robber who was caught on closed curcuit tv cameras, walked into the shop with a knife and a bottle of petrol. He demanded the staff hand over cash but they refused as they were locked safely behind an anti robbery or anti violence shield. Upon this the robber poured the petrol over the counter and lit it.

The counter lit up very quickly and the bookie girls were terrified. Punters need to be made aware the dangers of working in a betting shop and so do the anti online gambling brigade.

Online gambling has it's flaws but you ain't likely to get set on fire or get shot by some lunatic armed robber any time soon right?

Boxing Betting | Danny Williams To Beat Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson Will Lose Against Danny Willams

Boxing Insider.com Have 5 seperate boxing reports about "IRON" Mike Tyson Surely 5 Tyson reports are enough no? Do we not know who Mike Tyson is?

Frank Warren's Boxing Website is about the only site I can be bothered to link to regarding Danny Williams because it does not talk down Danny Williams Chances

Frank Warren reports that Danny Williams had the chance to fight Mike Tyson before but did not take the fight. This was back in 2000 (when the 1st Mike Tyson V Danny Williams fight was to be scheduled) but Danny refused the fight.

Julius Francis took the fight V Tyson and tried his best, to no avail. If Danny Williams had fought the Iron Mike Tyson of 2000 ~ Williams would have got caned. This time round DANNY WILLIAMS WILL BEAT MIKE TYSON AT ODDS of 6-1 or Williams should retire early.

Iron Mike is 38, has fought once in 2 years for a total of 1 round. Mike Tyson turned up to training camp after being out of training for 18 months and has whipped himself into general fitness for a boxer of his calibre and physique but I am afraid the laws of physics and biology even apply to "IRON" Mike Tyson ~ we shall see.

Danny Williams is nothing special but has some talent, 2 stone extra in weight than Tyson and is a solid enough professional boxer who could have taken an easier route through his career, think Audley Harrison (who could go fairly far). A decent left jab and a decent left hook which Danny Williams does posess, will be plenty enough to deal with the Mike Tyson of 2004 in my opinion.

Sportingbet go 6-1 about Danny Williams beating Mike Tyson. I have only seen a bigger price on Danny Williams at 1 American Sportsbook of 7-1. Take the 6-1 at Sportingbet before the smart money goes down. 6-1 Williams is too big in a 1 on 1 match.

All this is just my opinion so if you bet don't moan to me if Tyson knocks Williams out in 2 rounds ~ the most likely result according to most boxing experts and the bookies. At 6-1 Williams is a rank outsider ~ bet on Danny at your own risk.

Gambling | Big Brother Gamble On Michelle To Be Evicted Could Fail

Big Brother Betting

Michelle "Chicky" Bass has plummeted to 1/6 clear favourite and has replaced Scotsman Jay (Jason Cowan 7-2) as the publics choice to be evicted from the Big Brother House tomorrow.

I say the 7-2 offered For Jason To Be Evicted Is Not To Be Sniffed At

Big Brother betting is notorious for the bookies getting hammered by the favourite backers and this time they may be playing the game to even the book.

I have to admit Michell Bass has driven me insane from the off with her inane drivel and crying, but things have become just about intollerable the last week.

The girl cannot leave Stuart Wet Wilson alone and has taken to testing every bit of oxygen he is about to breathe with her antennae.

If you are of the female persuasion you are not allowed to knead bread with Stuart, otherwise you are clearly trying to get his loaf to rise.

Read A Bet.com have reported a Massive Gamble On Michelle to be evicted whereas The UK Gambling Blog editor reports on their surprise at Michelle To Be Evicted Rather Than Jason stating ::

Masked Gunman Robs A Betting Shop

Betting Shop Robbed At Gunpoint

The Huddersfield Examiner reports about something that rarely gets mentioned in the press. Betting shops being robbed at gunpoint.

A Masked Gunman Has Robbed A Betting Shop in Huddersfeild, Sheepridge Road, Sheepridge at about half three in the afternoon while the shop was busy with punters. (The Jack Pearson Betting Shop) The robber pointed a gun at the 2 men behind the till and robbed them, simple as that. No punters jumped in ~ thankfully.

The decription given was one of a black man, aged about 23 or 24 and was about 5'10 tall. Apparently the guy wore a balaclava but was spotted hanging around outside beforehand ~ doh.

This story has reminded me of a school freind of mine (a betting shop manager) who has been robbed 3 times if I recall correctly, in one of my local bookies. He is not in the job anymore and has previously expressed a worry that he'll have his head blown off 1 day.

I will give him a call and ask him to write his thoughts here. Now he's not working at the bookies it should be okay for him to write about what it was like to work there with the threat of being robbed every day.

It was rife a while back, people working in gangs robbing bookies because of the apparent high amounts of cash to be had, whereas other businesses were increasingly utilising credit cards and the like.

Bookies taken for €1.5 million in Irish Horse Racing Coup

Irish Horseracing Coup

The UK Gambling Blog have unearthed a story about a €1.5 Million Irish Horseracing Sting

I have read the report and prefer the headline of Horseracing Coup personally but The UK Gambling Blog are not alone in preferring the wording of the story to include Horseracing Sting in the headline.

The Irish Examiner also reports about the €1.5 million Horseracing Coup on the Michael Grassick trained horse Bocaccio (ridden on the day by jockey Neil McCullagh) as an Irish Horseracing Sting

Irish Bookmakers Cashmans report losses of €130'000 and Paddy Power reckon they done €100'000. English bookies report heavy losses also.

Pretty much standard fare in a coup of this size the participants were not told the name of the horse (Bocaccio) until literally a few minutes before the off.

If the name of the horse Bocacchio was made known much earlier the bookies would have known too somehow and the horse would have opened up at odds of evens or something, guaranteed.

To read the whole gory details about the Bocaccio Coup I suggest you read the reports above because The Irish Examiner will sue me if I copy their words and The UK Gambling Blog have covered the story well enough ~ aside from both parties calling it a Sting.

Seems no wrongdoing took place from what I can tell and the bookies don't seem to be crying foul. They just wish the Bocacchio Coup was not pulled off so precisely.

I have been involved in Horseracing Coup's before and believe me, the bookies are onto you in a flash and you only know when the price opens up at odds on rather than 6-1 mentioned on the early morning tissue prices.

Gamblog Comment :: 1 up for the punters for once ~ hoohah ~ my heart bleeds. I just wish I were in Kerry in Ireland for a hot minute and I might have got on too.

Call To Block Children Gambling Online

Problem Gambling In Children Using Switch Cards

The Guardian Unlimited have written a worrisome report entitled Call To Block Children Gambling Online

I will put the youth problem gaming and switch card report below but am concerned somewhat by this because internet gambling will be the target of the ANTI Gambling Brigade over this once again.

The ANTI Gambling Brigade should have been screaming for REGULATION of internet gambling like numerous fair gaming advocates like me have been doing since year dot.

The Gambling Industry will no doubt get the blame for something which they have been calling out against but have been mostly ignored by the powers that be. Typical.

The ANTI Gambling Brigade perpetuate gambling problems like this borne out by the fact that licensed online gambling firms under the durisdiction of The Alderney Gaming Control and The Isle Of Man gaming regulations for Proper Licenced Gambling are in full effect and indeed insist on the use of age verification systems for online gambling licencees.

Problem Gambling In Children Usng Switch Cards By David Batty (no not the footballer)

Internet gambling websites should introduce age-verification checks to prevent children from betting online, a children's charity urged today.
The call by the Childrens Charity (NCH) comes after it found that a 16-year-old girl was able to register with 30 gambling websites after lying about her age. Only seven sites requested verification of her age when she claimed to be 21.

The girl used her Solo card, a pared-down version of the Switch card issued by HSBC and Natwest on youth accounts, to register her details on 30 sites.

NCH claims the findings show it is possible for children as young as 11 to register with gambling websites, because some banks issue debit cards to 11-year-olds.

John Carr, the internet adviser for NCH, said there were no excuses for all UK-based sites failing to put effective online age verification in place.

He said: "The technology for these companies to clean up their act already exists. But it is being used by a very small number of the operators we surveyed. We urge everybody to install age verification software as a matter of urgency."

There are several age and ID verification systems available and being used by a minority of the online gambling industry. They include Experian and Verify Me, which search governmental and financial records to find evidence that people are registered at the address they claim to be and are over 18.

These systems are currently being used by all online gambling operators under the jurisdictions of the Isle of Man and Alderney, one of the Channel Islands.

The same age verification requirements are expected to be put in place following the implementation of the government's gambling bill, due to be introduced in parliament in the autumn.

The minister for gambling, Andrew McIntosh, described the findings as "very worrying". "This shows that in the face of rapidly changing technology our gambling laws are unable to keep pace," he said.

The minister pledged to ensure that banks and the gambling industry work together to properly verify whether their customers are adults or not.

Around 675,000 (45%) of 16 and 17-year-olds own a debit card, according to the Association of Payment Clearing Services, the UK trade association for payments. This figure does not include the number of 11 to 15-year-olds with a Solo or Visa Electron card.

I Also Would Like To Hear The Call For Children To Be Blocked From Gambling Online Adhered To ~ Yesterday ~ Not In A Few Years.

Gambling Talk | Meet Harvey From The UK Players Guide

Q :: What is your name or online moniker?
A :: Harv

Q :: What organisation or website do you represent or own?
A :: UK Players Guide.co.uk and also UK List Of Online Casinos.co.uk and a new site which will be coming soon.

Q :: Could you explain what your organisation or website offers the public?

A :: UK Players Guide is my main site. It came about because as a player at casinos, i was so frustrated with the industry. There are so many disreputable casinos out there. Many casinos, i believe, purposely have confusing terms and conditions for promotions. My website aims to explain this side of playing at casinos, so all the player has to worry about is playing the games themselves. This is the way gambling should be.

You don't walk out of a Las Vegas casino, worrying about if you've met wagering requirements or complex terms and conditions, and worrying about if you'll get paid your money.

UK List Of Online Casinos is a very simple site. It attempts to give a detailed list of casinos accepting sterling, so the UK players don't have to worry about currency conversion rates etc.

Q :: Any comments as to the current state of play regarding the online gaming industry?
A :: I think the online gaming industry is in big trouble if it doesn't get its act together quickly. Obviously there are a number of "bad apple" casinos, which hopefully will wither and die. The problem is, in my opinion, the attitude of most casino managers.

They have a fully myopic view of the industry and i believe have lost the ability to look objectively at their situation. Sign up bonuses have become so complex, that most new players won't understand them. They either ::
a) Will not play because it looks so complicated
b) Play, and make a mistake with the t+c's. Then never play again.

Casinos need to make their terms clear and concise. Customer service should be king. Treat a player well, and he/she will reguarly come back.

Gamblog Comment :; A Gambling Webmaster after my own heart ~ I concur the casinos should treat the players like the much coveted customers they are ~ or shut up shop. Terms and condition these days are so complicated I bet even a lawyer come actuarist would be scratching their head to understand them.

Football | Everton Kenny Smacks Alan Nixon Upside The Head About Rooney Again

Kenny Fogarty from The Everton Blog has done a follow up to his Wayne Rooney - Alan Nixon ~ Paul Stretford ~ Conflict Of Interest? write up the other day where I too reproduced the Rooney ~ Nixon ~ Stretford Connection piece, with Kenny's permission of course.

Staunch Everton Fan Kenny Fogarty writes ~ Alan Nixon Again

Here goes :: Nixon Again

And lo, after yesterday's offering, Alan Nixon is at it again in The Independent with this Story about Wayne Rooney ~ this time, Staying At Everton, Unless Manchester United Part With £30 million.

According to the imaginative Proactive Sports Group shareholder, Rooney staying at the club where he's contracted to for the next two years, is "one of the most unlikely options" available.

Amazingly, Internazionale of Italy are now mentioned by Nixon. However, there's been no mention of their interest anywhere else. He really does have a vivid imagination. But the question I want to know is, how does he get away with it?

I wonder how much he gets paid for each work of fiction? Indeed, are works of fiction that absolutely contradict yesterday's work of fiction worth more, or less in today's market?

Here's a bit of spin for you:

If Wayne Rooney was a product and Nixon had shares in the company that manufactured that product, and he wrote stories about the product which boosted it's value, he'd be in breach of insider dealing laws.

Sadly for us, Rooney is a footballer, and he doesn't speak, unless told to do so by his management company. Even then his words are carefully chosen and the questions asked are closely monitored. These same advisors give people like Nixon carte blanche to write whatever they like, mentioning "insiders", never offering a direct quote, because it suits them to have their player talked about. In short, they are actually creating the market for Wayne Rooney out of nothing more than hot air. Proactive say nothing, Rooney says nothing, put two nothings together and it makes for a summer of speculation, rumour and panic.

It's all bullshit, and people would be better off treating it, and people like Nixon with the contempt they deserve.

I've sent the following email to the Independent's sports desk. I wonder if I'll get a reply?

Dear Sir,

I wonder if you can answer a few question for me?

How does a Proactive Sports Group shareholder get to write for your newspaper, offering contradictory stories on a common theme over the course of two days?

Over two days, Alan Nixon has written two articles about the sale of Wayne Rooney, who happens to be represented by the company that Nixon has shares in. Neither article that has been published contains a direct quote from the player, the player's agent, or indeed anyone from the clubs supposedly involved in this transfer saga.

Indeed the teams mentioned in this whole saga seems to be growing daily. Can I ask if these teams selected at random by men pulling small wooden balls from a black velvet bag as they used to do before Sky TV invented football?

Are there more teams to be mentioned before this hawking of Wayne Rooney is laid to rest by Proactive Sports Group and their myriad of shareholders in the media?

Speculation is one thing, but now we see story upon story published for what seems to be the benefit of Proactive Sports Group and their share price.

Kenny Fogarty
Want to see how much shite this Alan Nixon has had published?

Heard of Google? Try this Nixon Search which will list all his stories printed by that paragon of truth, the Daily Mirror.

Then there's this Nixon Search which will list his stories from The Independent. I've got no time, nor inclination to count out how many of his stories never came to any fruition. I bet there's a few though.

Gamblog Comment :: Looks to me like Everton Kenny is on a march and I for one think the guy makes a solid case against Alan Nixon (Proactive Sports Group Shareholder) ~ I wonder if he will get a reply?

Sven Goran Eriksson Has An Affair With An FA Secratary Called Faria Alam.

Sven , Faria Alam and The F.A update (aug 3)

Sven Goran Eriksson is in the clear after a meeting of F.A officials today. Sven will keep his job, Palios and Gibson are gone.

Immediately after Faria Alam Resigned from her job as secretary for the F.A and will be selling her "F.A and Faria Sex Story" to the highest bidder.

Max Clifford is reported to be Faria Alam's representative now which ensures this story of sex, lies and deceit will rumble on further.

The F.A have decribed this whole Faria "Ferrari" Alam, Sven Goran Eriksson and the F.A as "regrettable and bad for English football all round.

Sven and Faria Alam Update (july 30)

The News Of the World have an exclusive interview with F.A secretary Faria Alam in their online edition entitled My Wild Sex With Sven By Faria Alam If you are interested in how "Sven Gate" is going, there are loads of details from Faria Alam's own hand pretty much.

Faria Alam calls Sven "sex hungry" ~ she's having a laugh right? Faria has had sex with half the F.A from what I read ~ apparently Faria Alam has had it off with not only Sven Goran Eriksson and Mark Palios but another unnamed FA person aswell.
A Word About Sven Goran Eriksson's Affair With F.A Secretary Faria Alam (38)

Listening to Talksport Radio this morning I am all a'glowing at the high level of morality shown by some of the callers to Mick Quinn and Graham Beecroft this morning.

Some callers are ringing up to say Sven Goran Eriksson should be given the boot from his job of work because him bedding a secretary (Faria Alam) from the UK Football Association does'nt give over a good impression to the younger members of the England team he manages.

The Scotsman Newspaper reports that The FA Has Finally Admitted Sven Goran Eriksson Had An Affair With F.A Secretary Miss Faria Alam
by Kim Pilling :: The Football Association has admitted that England coach Sven Goran Eriksson had an affair after it previously denied the rumours, it has been reported.

Eriksson was said to have split with his lover Nancy Dell'Olio amid newspaper allegations that he was having a relationship with FA secretary Faria Alam
Yes I am all a'glowing because these people ringing Quinn and Beecroft are such paragons of virtue that it makes me want to puke. I am glowing with nausea and feel a bit flush.

Why an unmarried, ageing and wrinkled Sven Goran Eriksson cannot bed a good looking woman like Faria Alam is beyond me.

If the younger players of the England squad have their heads turned by what Sven does in bed in private then i'm a Demi God from Mork and Mindy's Planet Mork

Apparently F.A Chief Executive Mark Palios has had a pop at Faria Alam too? Maybe Palios and Sven had a spitroast session with her? Well I could'nt care less.

What does bother me is Terry Venables was outed from the England job because he never measured up to the F.A's high standards of morality heheh.

2 Year Old Boy Dies From Car Falling Onto Yaverland Beach, Isle Of Wight

While listening to Talk Sport Radio I have just heard a heartbreaking news report.

Two-year-old boy dies in beach car crash on the Isle Of Wight

A child has died after a car fell onto Yaverland Beach Emergency services were called just after 4.30pm on Saturday afternoon. The F-reg silver BWW five-series fell around 10 to 15 feet from the car park near Yaverland Sailing Club. It hit a two-year-old boy from London who was on holiday with his family.

The boy?s father was also hurt in the crash. He is being treated for non life-threatening injuries at St. Mary?s Hospital in Newport. It?s believed the toddler?s mother was also nearby. She is thought to be unhurt but traumatised.

Four people were travelling in the BMW when the crash happened. The driver, who is a man in his 40s from the Isle of Wight, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been treated for shock at St. Mary?s Hospital and is due to be questioned at Newport Police Station later. A breath test on him was negative. Police say no other vehicles were involved.

The BMW was taken away from the crash scene just after 9.00pm on Saturday night to be examined further. Yaverland beach has re-opened. Police have spoken to witnesses but are appealing for more to come forward.

If you saw what happened, phone Hampshire Constabulary on 0845 045 45 45

Report copied from The Isle of Wight Radio Website

Gamblog comment :: I have a 2 year old, love the seaside and just cannot imagine. If I were the crying type I would be in tears right now. I feel awful and for what it's worth just wanted to express my utter horror and offer my condolances to the family of the little guy. In a world full of shit that happens this is probably insignificant but it has burned my heart so. It just feels so close to home.

Gamblog Comment :: I am no Arsenal hater but am curious because Ray Houghton played for Liverpool who are a bigger club historically than Arsenal but are not quite as strong historically as Real Madrid. Obviously Ray would'nt know this? Aside from the history of it all Real Madrid will most likely double Patrick Viera's wages.

Ray ~ What The Hell Are You On Boy? You are supposed to be an ex professinal footballer who knows his stuff and you spout crap like this on the radio live to the nation?

Football | Adrian Durham ~ What Are You Like?

Adrian Durham who is a a presenter on the radio for Talksport has just said live to the nation that he thinks he could do a better job of managing a football team than the likes of Alex Ferguson and Sven Goran Eriksson

This is because he does'nt rate Phil Neville and I have some sympathy with him there BUT, Adrian reckons all he would need is instant respect from the players and then he could go on to manage a football team better than Fergie or Sven.

Instant respect? Well to quote the Indomitable Adrian Durham (who is by the way a decent match commentator because he has a big mouth and knows how to use it) from when he answered some questions on the Talk Sport official website :.

Q :: IF YOU COULD MEET ONE PERSON, DEAD OR ALIVE, WHO WOULD IT BE?

A :: GERRY ADAMS. I CANNOT BE JUDGEMENTAL UNTIL I FULLY UNDERSTAND.

Gambling | Playing Bingo By The Seaside ~ Leysdown On Sea

My Bingo Memories From When I Was A Child

Playing Bingo by the seaside as a child while on holiday is a vivid memory of mine. In the County of Kent there is a small island just outside of Sittingbourne called The Isle Of Sheppey

On that Island my seaside haunt sits at the furthest point, better known as Leysdown On Sea It was here I learned to play bingo in the various Arcade Amusements along the promenade.

Those days when I was young my mum and dad used to play bingo in the various holiday social clubs and pubs which regularly held bingo tournaments for quite high prizes. As those clubs the rule was no under 18's were allowed to join in I just got to watch from the kids arcade room normally located fairly nearby.

The atmosphere around the whole bingo game in general was something I could'nt get enough of. Alcohol was on sale before the bingo players even got to play one game of bingo which lent itself to the tipsy parents letting go of a few more pennies before the bingo games began in earnest. Turning up between bingo games to ask for some more money was a good idea as a kid, sometimes dad had only a 50p piece in his pocket at that time and just quickly gave me that to play with on the machines before the next bingo game started. I remember my dad winning 147 pounds on holiday once while playing bingo which was a lot of money in those days. Needless to say the last few days of that holiday were good because dad had a load more money for me to play on all the games in the many arcades along the seafront.

In the Arcades the bingo was for all ages as long as you had some money to play. There was a bingo caller in the middle of the play area in any given arcade circled with a wooden bank of bingo cards and a stool for each section where bingo players could sit and get comfortable. You lit up the bingo cards by putting 10 pence pieces into the slot just before each game started play. All sections or bingo booths the players sat in had a button light up on thier bingo cards to show who was active in the game or not. Bingo players called on 4 corners or a straight line first for the first prize ticket and then the play carried on into a bingo coverall or fullhouse as we call it here in England. When someone shouted house or bingo believing they had filled thier bingo card, the bingo caller or player assistant checked the numbers were correct and those numbered bingo balls had indeed been called, only then was the prize ticket given out to the player was deemed to have won and bingo play continued onto the next game.

Bingo daubers and paper bingo cards were not needed in the arcades. The way you covered your bingo cards was by pulling a little shutter or platic curtain to cover your bingo numbers as the bingo caller called the different numbers out.

Prizes were put on show around the bingo game in the form of teddy bears, televisions, ornaments, cutlery sets, toys and pretty much most things one could think of. The more a prize was worth, the more winning bingo tickets were needed to be able to trade for that prize. I used to play bingo just to win sweets to munch and presents to bring back for my relatives, but some people used to play bingo all day and collect loads of winning bingo tickets. I have seen people claim televisions before now which were worth several thousand winning bingo tickets won over many many weeks of constant play on the bingo.

I still love it there even after the place has gone downhill since the onset of the Not Cost A Lot Revolution on the Costa Brava ~ You know what? It will pick up again 1 day ~ mark my words.

Costing £15 million, Valhalla is a high speed thrilling ride with unique features, highly themed and incorporating a host of multi-sensory elements. Valhalla is the journey to the immortal resting place of Viking warriors souls combining elements of fire, water, snow and ice

:: Wild Mouse ~ Not for the nervous! This hair raising ride deserves it's name. Down incredibly steep drops, up hills and whizzing round a seemingly endless array of bends. One of only three remaining traditional wooden Wild Mouse rides remaining in the world.

Blackpool will be the centre of the offline casino trade in the coming years and i'll be making my way up there at some stage for sure heheh.

Text Gambling Live On C4

My Text Gambling Bugbear is still alive and kicking. It was my first post on gamblog a while back and the C4 Big Brother programme now uses this form of Text Gambling/Quiz For Prizes and is doing so Live On Mainstream Television (C4).

I have been watching some Big Brother and am amazed to see that people text in thier selections over and over to try and win £50 costing a mere 50 pence a text.

As I said then when dealing with the Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Bug Match Text Competition and as I say it again now ~ it is just way too easy for a child to get hold of mums or dads mobile phone or indeed use their own that is linked to mums or dads phone bill to run up a bill of ridiculous proportions.

While soppy newspaper reporters are jumping on the anti internet gambling bandwagon I have not see ANYONE question this form of text gambling, even though the thing is live on mainstream television.

When you see text gambling ignored by the press but newspaper reporters coming forward with "stories" of people apparently having to remortgage their houses to pay credit card bills run up by errant children gambling on the internet, one wonder what the real agenda is.

Text gambling live on the box compared with stories of children stealing credit cards, stealing passwords and then gambling away the house is no contest, a no brainer.

No chance that these parents have gambled away their houses under each others noses and then blame it on the 12 year old in a vain attempt to avoid paying the debt ~ oh no ~ yeah right.

Text gambling live on the box via any mobile phone one can get their hands on is a bugbear of mine and the shit is going to hit the fan in a big way one day ~ only then will nonsense reporters jump on the anti text gambling live on mainstream television bandwagon but by then someone will have made a mint and it will be all too late.

Gambling | No-Risk Wagers - What's the Gamble?

by Jake Soroka for Winner Online.com

No-Risk Wagers - What's the Gamble?

You've probably seen a sentence like this in most casinos bonus terms and conditions :: "Roulette, Craps, and Baccarat do not qualify for wagering requirements."

You may ask yourself why a casino would disqualify certain games from playthrough requirements, and why they wouldn't also include Blackjack since it can have the lowest house edge in the casino.

The primary reason casinos disqualify those games is because they contain opportunities for what casinos consider "no risk" wagers, and the casinos don't have either the capability or the time to monitor your play to detect these types of bets.

Betting on Red and Black in Roulette. Banker and Player in Baccarat. Pass and Don't Pass in Craps. Those are some examples of wagers that casinos dislike, since they feel a player can artificially inflate their wagering volume without risking their deposit, and then withdraw the bonus without ever really risking their own money.

While those types of bets can affect a player's wagering variance or volatility, they are definitely not "no risk" to the player. In fact, some casinos may want to encourage players to place those three types of bets, since it might attract players who think they're taking advantage of the casino, but are in fact just duping themselves.

Football | Is Alan Nixon's Wayne Rooney ~ Fifty Questions "Story" A Liberty?

Wayne Rooney - Alan Nixon ~ Paul Stretford ~ Conflict Of Interest?

Kenny Fogarty of The Everton Toffee Blog is a Fuming Everton Fan ~ Sizzling Even. I Kid You Not.

The Wayne Rooney Conflict Of Interest write up is an accusation of epidemic proportions in my opinion. If Kenny has it right, Everton are possibly being turned over for what could amount to many millions of pounds. Pretty much via the mainstream media, undoubtedly unknowingly ...

As such I have sought Kenny's permission to reproduce his words here untouched by my own hand.

Here goes ~ read it and weep ~ all football fans take note :: It Could Be You.

By Kenny Fogarty :: Alan Nixon writes some piece of shit article for The Daily Mirror about Rooney asking 50 questions of Everton before he will consider signing his new contract. This is a Mirror "exclusive".

Another Alan Nixon then writes another piece of shit article, this time, for The Independent basically re-iterating the same, tired story of Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid waiting to buy the player on the cheap from Everton.

Then there's this PDF file, which I have made a backup of for safe keeping, which exposes Nixon as being a shareholder in Proactive Sports Group, the company who Manage Wayne Rooney.

Lying, cheating, dirty bastards all around. And at the centre of it all is Paul Stretford. Nice company you keep Wayne.

I've forwarded an email onto the people at The Private Eye highlighting this issue. I wonder if they will publish it?

The full email is as follows ::

Dear Sir,

In Eye 1110, you published a story touching on Peter Schmeichel's unholy alliance with Paul Stretford and his ProActive Sports Group. Now that ProActive Sports Group are rebranded "Foundation Group", it's nice to see that their friends in the media are still doing their bit for the share price.

Witness the "exclusive", in the Daily Mirror, (July 22) from one Alan Nixon, titled "Rooney's Fifty Questions To Everton".

Another Alan Nixon, possibly two journalists with the same name, writing about the same story in two different newspapers, but I doubt it, then pens a re-hashed version of the stuck record that has been ProActive's hawking of Rooney to Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid in a desperate attempt to bleed even more money from football. This article is titled "Everton Seek Value For Rooney, As Cahill Signs".

Then there's this PDF file which can be found HERE which shows Alan Nixon sitting smugly next to his "friend" Paul Stretford.

Isn't it nice to see good, honest, capable journalism alive and well with the Daily Mirror, and the newspaper for splintered arses everywhere, The Independent.

I hope you find this interesting. I'm an Everton supporter, and I don't want to see Rooney leave, but accept that he might. What I find offensive is the way that ProActive, sorry, Foundation Group, are using influences in the media, both in print, and in broadcast to better their share price and their profit margins.

As an aside, the Everton Shareholders Association are going to complain to the Football Association over the conduct of Mr Stretford and his "representation" of Wayne Rooney's "interests" throughout the summer of 2004.

Yours
Kenny Fogarty
Gamblog Comment :: Kenny ~ More power to your elbow. All the best.

Gambling | Fruit Machine Emptiers

My Experience With Fruit Machine Emptiers

Slot Machines and Fruit Machines are very similar except for fruit machine is the traditional name for an English style slot machine whereas the American style slot machines are aptly named Slots. Fruit machines have more secondary game play than your American slot counterpart, so bear in mind this article is aimed from a fruit machine perspective, not your regular USA slot machine.

Fruit Machine Emptiers are hidden bugs in any given slot fruit machine or indeed sometimes cheats built in by dodgy staff at the slots manufacturers, or so i'm told.

UK Fruit Machines payout approximately 75% or greater by law and they take enough money to fill up the machines and then let the big slot jackpots go. It is here where emptiers come into play.

If you are lucky enough to find a fruit machine that is backing, ie the tubes are full and the money is going down the reserve pipe straight to the bottom of the said fruit machine, you may get lucky and stumble across a machine that is emptying.
Knowing the correct pattern of play to use at that moment in time is a good thing obviously but some fruit machines have cheats and tricks built in that by rights should not be there. To list them would be illegal so i'll just cover 1 that has been put a stop to by the slot/fruit machine manufacters concerned - bottom line is they already know about it.
UK Fruit Machine Players will have seen the Bar Ex in arcade amusements up and down the country. The noughts are worth nothing, the three ex's the next highest payout and then the 3 bars which are the jackpot prize winning symbols on that certain fruit machine. The reels would spin and if you got no win sometimes you would get a random 3 nudges which meant you could move a maximum of 3 places on a reel or maybe 1 move on 1 reel and then 2 on the next until you got a winner in the payout lines or not, however was your luck playing at that time.

How to evoke the fruit machine emptier? Firstly you find a Bar Ex fruit machine that is backing by listening to others gamblers play, you get on it when you can. You play on the machine until you get a random 3 nudges which won't take long if the machine is backing and ready to payout. When you get a nudge you may or may not have a win. If you have the 3 bars take the win. If you see you can slot in 3 Ex's, don't - nudge in a loser and waste the nudges - yes refuse the win. You will need to put another credit in the machine and it will present you with the option to hold any of the reels you want. Let them spin and guess what? Yes the 3 bars roll in for the big jackpot and you are in luck.

However - the fun does not stop there - you have evoked the fruit machine emptier. The next 3 or four credits will present you with the option to hold the 3 bars again! With jackpots of 15 pound for 3 bars one can see that a possible 75 pound payout for a few pound coins is possible, good work if you can get it. 75 pounds for 10 minutes playing on a fruit machine can't be bad.

All in all you refuse the 3 ex's when the machine is backing and you evoke the bar ex's fruit machine emptier worth approx 60 - 75 pounds.
Did i ever do it? Actually no, I found out after the slot/fruit machine manufacturers did but I did play that fruit machine beforehand. Funny thing is I used to see some old ladies get hold after hold on the 3 bars jackpot and have now figured they probably were not sure how to play the machine atall and evoked the bar ex fruit machine emptier purely by chance. Me, well I foolishly knew how to play the slots and fruit machines properly, or so I thought I did and got my pockets emptied for the pleasure. A perfect emptier to take the money of those that knew how to play fruit machines and give it to the new fruit machine player to get them coming back for more.
Purposely built into the machine circuit board? I think maybe so (alledgedly) - that fruit machine certainly emptied my pockets! Who ever said that ignorance is not bliss?

Gambling | The Real Dangers Of Virtual Gambling - The anti online gambling bandwagon is on a roll.

The Globe and Mail reporter Mary Nersessian has done a piece on internet gambling and has gone to town. With all her writing skills she portrays online gambling as highly dangerous with quotes from problem gaming sources.

Read about The Real Dangers Of Virtual Gambling according to Mary and see what you think.

My view is the dangers are overplayed somewhat by this reporter for the sake of writing a story about the booming online gambling trade, but what would I know eh? What I do know is i've had a slew of reporters from all over, including the BBC and C4 asking me about this kind of problem gaming.

I am more interested in rogue casino operators taking liberties with players winnings but you know, gamblers can afford to lose it if they bet it right? They deserve not to get paid right? This happens all day on the internet but reporters seem more interested in picking out gambling haters quoting they have had 6 people in a year who could not control themselves. Alright i'd consider closing Gamblog if one of my own players got themselves in strife with gambling but I don't actively seek out stories to poopooh a $9 billion a year industry do I?

Can you say "jump on the bandwagon"? Well if you want to jump on the anti online gambling bandwagon i'm here to tell you it's too late because wild horses can't stop it now. Where were these people in the past eh? Where were they when online gamblers were getting stiffed right left and centre? It's not as bad now as it once was but gamblers still get robbed blind or are made to jump through ever decreasing circles to get paid out in good time, if atall, if they dare to gamble and win.

Pah.

Gambling | Casino Stung For £2 Million

Macau Casino Stung For £2 Million

A well known Asian Casino scammer known as Wong has hit the Macau Casino For £2m in a bacarrat scam where he swapped cards with accomplices, without raising the suspicions of apparent novice bacarrat dealers.

The Guardian reports the bacarrat sting, one of the biggest in Macau's history, took place last week but was only discovered on Tuesday, when casino managers checked footage from surveillance cameras.

The Guardian said given Wong's reputation, it was a surprise that he was even allowed in to the Sands.

According to the South China Morning Post the Hong Kong man had been barred by several gambling establishments in Macau and refused permission to board floating casinos off of Singapore.

The owner of the Las Vegas Sands Hotel and Casino Sheldon Adelson a Las Vegas mogul, is a relative newcomer to the former Portuguese enclave, where 70% of tax revenues come from gambling. He was the first rival to break the 50-year monopoly of the local tycoon Stanley Ho.

Sackings have followed the bacarrat sting. At least one executive has been fired over this highly embarrassing incident.

Wong's fate is as yet unclear. Police refused to confirm reports that he had been released on bail due to a lack of evidence against him.

He appears to have cashed in most of his chips. According to the Hong Kong newspaper Apple Daily, the casino, had time to block the last of his winner's cheques - worth HK$5m. Wong is said to have complained vociferously when the bank refused to pay out.

Gamblog Comment :: While I go on about how bad casinos treat players, this is an excellent example of the boot can fit squarely on the other foot. £2 Million is a lot of money indeed. Gladly Sheldon Adelson can afford it without going under.

Gambling | Denial Of Service Gang Are Arrested

Russian Denial Of Service Gang Busted

Web User.co.uk have reported that A Russian Denial Of Service Operation Has Been Smashed

By Claire Woffenden.

Crime fighters have swooped upon members of a Russian gang that are believed to have extorted hundreds of thousands of pounds from online betting sites.

A joint operation between the UK's National Hi-Tech Crime Unit (NHTCU) and its counterparts in the Russian Federation resulted in the arrest of three men in Russia yesterday.

According to the NHTCU, online bookies in the UK have been subject to attacks and demands for money since October 2003. The arrested men are part of a gang that is suspected of launching attacks on the servers and websites of online sportsbooks.

The attacks bombarded the servers with thousands of messages, effectively shutting down the company and costing millions of pounds in lost business. The gang then sent email demands, asking for money in order for the attacks to be stopped for one year.

Detective Chief Superintendent Len Hynds, head of the NHTCU, said: "The success of this operation is built on the foundation of international partnerships between law enforcement and business. Thanks to the response of all the parties involved, we have helped to dismantle a determined group of organised criminals. The clear message we are sending is that if you attack firms based in the UK, we will find you and stop you."

As part of the investigation, 10 members of the gang were arrested in Riga, Latvia, last November 2003. Officers were able to identify the financial trail which led to the gangsters arrested yesterday in Russia.

Gamblog Comment :: Is just the tip of the iceberg. Reports of denial of service (DOS) gangs from Bulgaria and North Korea and various other countries doing the same thing have surfaced in the past. Somehow, some way these denial of service gangs need to be stopped but it is a momentous task that will not be resolved anytime soon I guess.

Talksport Radio | Mike Parry Illness Update

Numpty Mike Parry Illness Update

August 13 Mike Parry's Ilness UPDATE Mike Parry Needs A Heart Transplant

Alan Brazil read out a note from Mike Parry this morning on the breakfast show passing on Mike's appreciation for all the get well messages he has recieved since his heart problem was discovered.

I was under the impression Mike Parry would be back to work on Talksport Radio in August but alas it seems Mike's heart problem is a touch worse than first thought.

Mike is still in hospital I gather and is to undergo another heart operation. Mike is obviously hopeful he will pull through without too many complications and quoted Alex Ferguson's heart problem as an example of which seems to have been cleared up well enough.

Mike Porky Parry said the heart is a muscle but sadly does'nt clear up as easy as a hamstring strain etc. Stuff we already know but it is nice to hear from him again.

If you would like to pass on a get well message to Our Mike you should go to the Mike Parry News Page where you can read what he has to say on his heart problem and at the bottom of the page is an email address you can get messages through to Mike via the Talk Sport Website Webmaster.

I look forward to hearing Mike Parry's dulcet tones on the radio again in the mornings batting away Alan Brazil's Ginger Tube taunts, even though Mike drives me bloody mad.

Get well The Numpty Ginger Tube ~ Mike Porky Parry, get well soon son.

Gamblog Comment :: I reckon it's gonna take a lot more than a couple of heart operations to stop The Indomitable Mike Porky Parry in his tracks for too long.

Football | Patrick Viera Off To Real Madrid

Patrick Viera Off To Real Madrid Update (aug 3)

Spanish Radio are calling the Patrick Viera ~ Arsenal ~ Real Madrid transfer speculation as word.

IE Patrick Viera Has Signed For Real Madrid !

Apparently £23 million or €30-35 million are to change hands for the player, the best agressive midfield ball winner in the world by a street. Arsenal have asked for some time to sign Maniche as a replacement and Viera is off. Patrick will be allowed to leave for the sunshine of Madrid, Spain.

This is massive news and Arsenal have just relinquished their grip on the Premier league title. Sadly a Patrick Viera not wanting to play for Arsenal meant they had no choice but to sell. Real Madrid are now looking scarey, very!
Patrick Viera Off To Real Madrid Update (aug 3)

==================

Patrick Viera Off To Real Madrid Update (wed july 28 - 5am)

Reports of Patrick Viera and Real Madrid having agreed personal terms are all over the press. Arsenal and Real just need to agree a fee apparently.

Arsenal want atleast £35 million while Real are only offering £20 million (30 plus million Euros) for the services of Patrick Viera.

I think Real will stump up the extra cash for Viera from somewhere ~ they have to.

In my opinion Patrick Viera is far and away the best midfield ball winner in the world, in fact Viera can actually pass a ball too, helpfull no?

End of Patrick Viera Definately Off To Real Update

=====================
Patrick Viera To Sign For Real Madrid?

Arsenal News Review seem to be pretty much on the money when it comes to news about the Arsenal. Oh right the newspapers will always have a lot to say and sometime propogate stories of football players leaving their clubs to go here there and everywhere but when the Arsenal News Review boys report that Patrick Vieira has cleared his locker then the writing is pretty much on the wall.

Arsene Wenger has shown massively strong management, no doubt tinged with being bloody pissed off and has told Viera to get the hell out of Highbury and don't come back! (alledgedly)

Zinedine Zidane has by all accounts been on the phone to the Arsenal Captain playing up the virtues of living the life as a Real Madrid player and Mr Viera has taken the bait.

Continental football, sunshine in Spain or lack thereof in England, big wages and galactico status have been too much of a lure for the Frenchman and it seems Real Madrid have got their man.

Figo on the left, Beckham on the right, Zidane and Viera in the centre? Real Madrid have also snapped up a top quality defender in the form of Walter Samuel to add to the other Galactico's Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo and Raul.

Gamblog Comment :: Crikey. Is just aswell football is played on grass and not paper eh? I do wonder though whether these galactico's will run through a wall to win a match. The best kind of football team is one like the Liverpool of old who would win whether playing on Astroturf, Concrete, Grass or Glass. We shall see.

Gambling Talk | Meet Peralis From Reviewed Casinos

Q :: What is your name or online moniker?
A :: Peralis and Mito

Q :: What organisation or website do you represent or own?
A :: We have been online for almost 6 years now with Reviewed Casinos and have recently added Reviewed Poker to the brand.

Q :: Could you explain what your organisation or website offers the public?
A :: We offer an overview of reliable online gambling establishments where players can choose exactly the type of casino or poker room that they want to play at. The filter options eliminates those places that do not offer each player exactly what they are looking for. We also offer mediation services between players and casinos/poker rooms.

Q :: Any comments as to the current state of play regarding the online gaming industry?
A :: The online gaming industry has always been a topsy turvy affair. At the moment I see it regulating itself by default. Those that joined in the game to make a "quick buck" have basically been siphoned off, leaving only those with a proper business plan and model holding the reigns. Transparency is the only way that anybody will survive in this day and age.

Q :: Is there anything else you would like to add that is pertinent to your work online or off?
A :: I love my job and love the fact that I can do this 24/7. This is the best industry to work in and there are so many great people involved.

Gamblog Comment :: Peralis runs a decent operation and attends the gaming conferences so knows his stuff ~ definately one of the most respected gambling webmasters out there by his peers.

Gambling | Fruit Machine Pays Out 2 Dead Mice Instead Of £25 Jackpot

Roderick Frain from Hastings UK, was playing a fruit machine in an arcade amusements centre in his home town of Hastings and St Leonards and was a happy enough soul when he won a £25 jackpot.

♠ Much to his surprise instead of paying out Roderick his 25 quid in cash, instead 2 dead mice plopped into the fruit machine payout tray ♠

To add insult to injury Our Rod was refused a refund of his £25 jackpot by the arcade attendants because no one witnessed his win.

All jokes about cheese are NOT welcome, not clever, not smart and certainly not funny - right? Heheh.

Football | Wayne Rooney Saga

Wayne Rooney - My View

Wayne Rooney is quite obviously a talented footballer . Precocious Youth springs to mind ~ Wayne Rooney certainly is that.

There is not much more to say really as he's only been around for 2 seasons as I write. The rest is my annoyance at Everton really.

Season 1 :: Wayne Rooney was wrapped up in cotton wool perfectly, ie covered up and expertly brought through by Everton Manager David Moyes straight from the Everton youth side. No mean feat, but the boy is class and had no problems with physical strength, far from it. Anyway he scored against Arsenal and the Everton players were bouyed just by Rooney's presence and played their nuts off that season.

Season 2 :: Wayne Rooney was wrapped up in cotton wool again but also valued later on in the season by Everton Manager David Moyes as worth around 50 million quid. Moyes said "only Chelsea can afford him".

If Everton have a team of players good enough to keep 50 (FIFTY) million pounds worth of talent on the bench then fine. I don't think Everton have a team good enough to keep 5 million pounds worth of player on the bench to be honest. This was proven by the fact they just about avoided the drop.

What the hell Everton are doing covering up a player for a second season of the standard of a Wayne Rooney i'll never know. Once brought through from the Everton youth team successfully to the first team in his first year, the boy Rooney should have been played as first choice striker the next season and be allowed to move on with his career at full tilt. Simple as that.

Now Everton are trying to get a player they've hardly played on the pitch to sign a club record breaking contract and dare to quote "loyalty to the club" to the boy Rooney.

♠ Everton are'nt offering Wayne Rooney big money out of loyalty for crying out loud. Everton are offering those kind of wages for purely monetary reasons and that's that ~ no question ♠
By rights Moyes should have played the boy second season and he'd probably be worth 70 - 100 million quid with 25 goals under his belt. If Everton had offered Wayne Rooney a 5 year deal on wages befitting a 50 million pound valuation half way through last season, the boy would have indeed signed. Waiting for the England manager to play the boy has brought them no end of trouble and probably cost Everton 20 - 50 million pounds.

I have hindsight as my eye, Moyes is paid to work out this kind of stuff for the good of Everton and the good of Wayne Rooney beforehand.

Gambling | Punters Luckiest Betting Shop In Britain

Ladbrokes Putney Bridge Branch is The Luckiest Betting Shop In Britain For Punters

The Richmond And Twickenham Times report that the Luckiest Betting Shop In Britain is the one just this side of the Putney Bridge

Ladbrokes have reported that its Putney Bridge Road branch is paying out 5 per cent more to gleeful gamblers than its 2,000 other shops.

It has even brought in Feng Shui expert and Buddhist Paul Darby to boost customers luck even more. Yeah Right.

He identified a few areas that need attention, explaining: "It's upside down". The offices are in the cellar, not above or on the shop floor. It's like taking a rich man and turning him upside down so money drops out of his pockets.

"The river flowing nearby should be lucky, but it is blocked by a police station and is not getting the luck from it."

Gamblog Comment :: I have been in that bookies and never got any luck atall. I must be a bloody Jinx to myself. Call me the Bok Master from now on please. I wish you all better luck than I. Maybe I should put my computer downstairs or something - might get me some luck?

Gambling | The Seven Habits of Highly Unsuccessful Gamblers

The Seven Habits of Highly Unsuccessful Gamblers
by Michael Shaye from Winner Online.com

There are seven things all players have done at one time or another to ensure they left the casino down before they even turned on their computer. They're the Seven Habits of Highly Unsuccessful Gamblers -- each one a proven way to give money to the casino.

1 ♠ Drinking ♠

How can online casinos afford to hand out cash bonuses like candy? Because they don't offer you drinks. It's no secret drinking impairs your judgment, yet players insist on having that extra cocktail. There is nothing wrong with indulging in your favorite beverage while enjoying blackjack after a hard day's work. But drink to excess and you'll lose your wits, you patience and your money. Know when you've had enough.

2 ♠ Chasing Even Money ♠

Players who chase the dream of breaking even when they are down big are the casino's best friend. Face it, other than to enjoy yourself, you gamble to win money. Set limits before you start playing -- both how much you are willing to lose and how much you realistically think you can win -- then stick to them. If you're cold, turn off the computer and try another day.

3 ♠ Hunch Betting ♠

There's a nickname for hunch betters ~ broke. Hunch bettors ignore the odds and bet on instinct. For games like blackjack and video poker where perfect play is possible, determine perfect play and stick to it. Every time you deviate because you "feel" something good is going to happen, you're giving odds to the house. And the last thing they need is more help taking your money.

Sport | Arsenal Players Avoid Paying Taxes ~ Legally.

Arsenal Players and Wenger Pay Less Tax

After Ray Parlour's Wife(ex) Karen skinned him in court, what also came to light was Parlour's tax payments on income.

Apparently Arsenal players sign 2 contracts - 1 for basic salary which is taxed as normal, around 40% and another for performance bonus related payments. These bonus payments can add up if Arsenal play well and can amount to doubling Arsenal players basic salary.

In 1 season alone Arsenal payed 76k in tax on 7.6 million pounds of player payments. A firm called Sevco 1270 which Arsenal players are shareholders of, paid bonuses to a Jersey based trust fund. Even the manager(Arsene Wenger) has saved grands using this method.

Arsenal have also set up what is known as a employee benefit trust, through which bonuses are loaned to players, but never paid back. 41% in tax would normally be due on such loans if they were paid directly rather than from offshore, Arsenal players paid 1%.

Arsenal reckon they cannot comment because contract details are confidential.

I gather all this is totally legal and above board.

Gamblog Comment :: It might be legal but it still stinks and when all the teams in the professional leagues follow suit it won't be legal for long.

Talk Sport Radio | Old Lady Arrested For Stopping Thieves From Stealing Her Car.

Charlie Wolf is on the radio at the moment doing the night shift on Talk Sport Radio

A caller rang in to tell of his story that he saw happen with his own eyes in America.

He told Charlie Wolf an old lady was sitting at a cafe drinking a coffee when she noticed that across the road 3 black guys were getting into her car.

Gladly she had a gun in her handbag for just this sort of thing so she took a walk over and ordered the 3 guys out of her car and they verily did so. As quick as she could she got in and drove off.

Not a half an hour later she was pulled over by the police and arrested for pointing a loaded gun.

Turns out her eyesight is not what it once was and she had just Car-Jacked 3 African businessman at gunpoint and ordered them out of their car.

Hers car was still parked right there where she'd put it.

I must have a warped sense of humour because picturing that scenario makes me laugh. Gladly the 3 African guys had a sense of humour too and never pressed charges. By what the guy said on the radio they actually saw the funny side themselves.

Only in America?

Wrestler Pat Bomber Roach Dies.

Sad news to report is Actor and Old Time UK Wrestler Pat Roach aka Bomber died today after a long battle against cancer.

Family spokewoman Shirley Thompson said Pat died while at home surrounded by his family.

Gamblog comment :: The Bomber Pat Roach was a gentle giant who I thought carried off his part in Auf Weidersehen Pet very well.

I remember The Bomber on television as a child, watching the wrestling on Grandstand on saturdays in between my dad and his horseracing getting in the way. Fond memories.

Bye Bye Bomber. I think you had a good one big man.

Talk Sport | August 8 - Mike Parry to Return From Illness

Gambling Talk | Meet Spinoza from Optimal Gambling.com

Q: What is your name or online moniker?
A: Spinoza.

Q: What organisation or website do you represent or own?
A: Optimal Gambling.com and a few others including Gambling Press.com

Q: Could you explain what your organisation or website offers the public?
A: Optimal Gambling.com is mainly focused on gambling strategy, and in particular to present it in a way that's easy to understand for everyone, while still being complete and accurate.

Gambling Press.com gives you a quick update on the latest developments in online gambling. The goal is to present the news stories as objective as possible, and also to avoid stories that are really advertisements in disguise.

Q: Any comments as to the current state of play regarding the online gaming industry?

A: I hope the proposed new U.K. Gambling Bill will bring the regulation the
gaming industry needs and the players deserve. If the U.K. manages to implement a successful model, possibly more countries will adapt similar models, maybe even the U.S. in the long term. In the meantime I strongly support initiatives like eCOGRA, but they have to work on also getting casinos to join them that are not operating on Random Logic or Microgaming software.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to add that is pertinent to your work online or off?
A: I'm currently planning an online poker site targeted to go online by the end of September this year. I will be working on this site in cooperation with an experienced poker player and webmaster and I'm pretty excited about it.

Many thanks to you Spinoza for sharing your online gambling industry insight and views.

Gambling Talk | Free Keno and Videopoker For Prizes

Keno For Free
Keno is a game like bingo or a lottery really. Played pretty much all across America and very popular actually. The odds are terrible but the game plays fast and much like any lottery game keno can pay very big when your luck is in , that's why it is popular.

Mostly gamblers just throw a few dollars at a game of Keno while impatiently waiting to play on their favourite slot machine, card table or maybe after ordering a munch from the restaurant.

I know of a website (www.online keno.net) where you can Play Free Keno at Online Keno.net with a valid email and your home address. If you are lucky enough to be one the top 20 keno players of any given month you can get a $25 prize chip to play at a sponsor casino or $15 for second, third or fourth place in the prize draw. (terms and conditions apply - read them before you join)

Alternatively, if Keno is not your thing why not have a nose around their sister site (www.video poker game.net) and Play Some Free Videopoker For Prizes

If you don't want to play for prizes you can just play the free keno
or videopoker with the added bonus of the games actually working, very
helpful but quite rare indeed.
