Boxing Scene.com - Freddie Roach: ''I Think Tyson Can Beat All 4 Champions''

♣ Tyson's manager Shelly Finkel, stated to the media in a telephone conference that that plan is still for Mike Tyson to come back to the ring on July 31 against Irish fighter Kevin McBride. Finkel said that talks are still going on for a venue and there is a possibility that the fight could land on pay per view. The future plans also havent changed, Finkel wants Tyson to fight in July, once in October and have a showdown with undefeated Joe Mesi in December.

♣ We should have something definite by next week,' Finkel said. 'There's a lot of anticipation for him (Tyson) to come back.

♣ Freddie Roach, one of best trainers in the game, said he will train Tyson again, beginning next month in Phoenix. Roach previously trained Tyson for his bout with Clifford Etienne.

♣ I think he can beat any of the four guys out there that are champions.' said Roach, 'He just needs to have discipline and get in shape"

UK Casino News: Mobile casinos round the corner

"Mobile casino's round the corner"

Casino Phone Technologies, the company developing m-Casino is betting that gaming operators around the world will lap up its new technology it says could port casino games onto mobile phones, in other words allowing customers to play and bet even when theyre away from the tables.

♠ It's a simple concept when you think about it. What makes it fly is that both the casino industry and casino users want the product ♠ says Peter French, communications director at Casino Phone.

The Nevada-based company though still in the process of signing up casinos to get on board, is yet to come up with any publicly named partners. Lack of customer references apart, industry observers say such mobile technology could effectively extend casinos games from the floor to restaurants, hotels and possibly anywhere else a mobile phone can go.

Betfair blasts UK Gambling Bill

The draft UK Gambling bill says that some punters on betting exchanges should be "identified, regulated, made subject to the appropriate levy arrangements and their status checked". In other words, punters who lay bets may find themselves taxed as though they are bookmakers.

Obviously, the betting exchanges aren't happy, and Bet Fair fired back last Friday with a letter to voice its disapproval. Sporting Options and Bet daq also backed the letter, addressed to John Greenway, chairman of the parliamentary committee reviewing the draft UK Gambling Bill....

UK Bookies see collapse in phone bets after demise of at-the-races

UK Bookmakers have suffered a drop in telephone betting of between 20 and 40 per cent in the past few weeks, since the Attheraces UK horseracing channel went off air.

William Hill yesterday told The Independent that its takings were down 20 per cent since the screens went black on Attheraces on 1 April. The channel, owned by BSkyB, Arena Leisure and Channel 4, was forced to close after failing to generate sufficient revenues. It had been hoped that UK punters would make bets through interactive television, but most were calling up their own bookies from their sofa.

"Telephone betting is down something of the order of 20 per cent," David Harding, the chief executive of William Hill, said yesterday. "But it is a storm we can weather as it means that more people are coming in to our UK highstreet shops."

William Hill has one of the biggest telephone betting services in the sector, and telephone bets accounts for as much 15 per cent of the business. About 75 per cent of bets placed over the phone are on horseracing ♣

Gamblog comment : Seems like Rebecca Loos is not the only one at Beckham's beck and call.

Rebecca Loos excerpts from the James Whale Show

Rebecca Loos, David Beckham's EX mistress spoke live and frankly on Talk Sport Radio tonight.

Speaking to James Whale Rebecca came across as quite sincere and had a decent sense of humour. Don't forget though - she is a Public Relations specialist.

♣ Ms Rebecca Loos denied the whole affair with David Beckham was a staged publicity stunt between her and Beckham and Beckham's wife - Victoria Beckham (includes popups) aka Posh Spice and maybe soon to be known as Victoria Adams again. In fact Rebecca said "hand on heart it was not a publicity stunt as far as she knows", although obviously she could'nt completely rule out she was just a pawn in the game of the Beckham's high-rolling publicity machine.

♣ Rebecca Loos also said the affair lasted only 10 days and ended abruptly upon David Beckhams behest.

♣ Ms Rebecca Loos admitted she first contacted publicist Max Clifford for advice and guidance in January of this year and called him because she so happened to know a member of Max Clifford's family - some bloke called Steve. She sought advice because she figured the story of her affair with David Beckham was about to break.

♣ On Rebecca's last return to Spain she said she needed a bodyguard/security and felt very unwelcome. In fact she said she thinks most of the Real Madrid fans want her dead. ♠ I think it is more likely most of the male fans want her in bed, not dead. As Rebecca is bisexual maybe a few of the ladies would like to have a go too.

♣ Cheryl Barrymore, ex agent and wife of Michael Barrymore is now looking after Rebecca's interests according to Max Clifford.

♣ Last but not least Max said Rebecca is in talks with many TV and Radio Shows from all around the world including the Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here TV Show.

Gamblog comment : To see Rebecca Loos struggling in a jungle with no food except for eating creepy crawlies somewhere in Australia would make for quite interesting light entertainment. How sad am I ?

I tried to get through to the James Whale Show but the lines were jammed. My question to Rebecca Loos was going to be would she like to carry on with her relationship with David Beckham if the Beckham's get a divorce. Once again - How sad am I ?

If I said I don't really care would you believe me?

"Racist?" Ron Atkinson Recordings.

Is Ron Atkinson racist?

Listen to the Ron Atkinson Tapes and decide for yourselves. (the recordings are hazy but certainly audible)

Quote : "in some schools Desailly would be called a lazy fucking nigger" (thats what I am pretty sure I heard)

Gamblog View : Big Ron is from the old school, a bygone generation where blacks were perceived as a threat, thick, lazy and a lower form of humanity by many sections of the white population.

Actually Atkinson clearly bumped that mentality and signed black players to play for him when many many football managers would not.

I heard Carlton Palmer (a black player signed by Ron) vehemently defend Rob Atkinson stating Ron was "not an inherrant racist" and also mentioned "friends poking fun at each other using racist wording was commonplace when he were a player." Problem was this was in public and was broadcasted, even if he had removed his microphone.

I do not think Big Ron thinks whites are superior to blacks due to their skin colour but he is definately a dinosaur who needs to brush up on his vocabulary. That said black people in general have heard it all before and will not forgive him. Some may but in general he will always be viewed as a racist from now on by the majority.

A sad affair all round.

"Rebecca Loos" Talksport Radio Broadcast Goes Live Over The Internet.

Listen to Rebecca Loos live on the James Whale Radio Show on Tuesday 27th (April) at 10 pm UK time.

Live callers will be able to question Rebecca Loos about her affair with David Beckham. Anyone from anywhere in the world can ring in - if you can get through. The lines will be jammed with callers no doubt.

♣ The James Whale Show goes live over UK airwaves and the whole internet which is sure to get a lot of listeners from around the world tuning in on their PC's..

Live radio online is usually very poor quality due to buffering but Talksport use Abacast which greatly improves the listening quality from my experience. So all is good, listen in.

♣ Exactly what all this Beckham and Rebecca Loos live on the radio stuff has to do with gambling I am not entirely sure - although there is an online bookie laying prices as to when and if Beckham and Posh will get divorced.

No I have not had a bet on it.

I wonder what the odds are for Beckham and Posh to get divorced followed by a whirlwind marriage for Beckham and ms Loos... I shall have to go check.

♥ ♥ Hey, lets have it right - Rebecca Beckham sounds a lot better than Rebecca Loos for sure.

Jordan spells more misery for Posh over Becks! - Newindpress.com

I remember when Jordan aka Katie Price whispered to Neil "Razor" Ruddock in the Australian jungle something about Becks/David Beckham and Posh Spice blah blah.

Jordan, Beckham, Posh Spice and Razor Ruddock.. What a motley crew no?

Anyways, I was waiting for the Beckham and Jordan story to hit the headlines and it appers it has. The first report I found mentioning Jordan and Beckham in the same breath was funnily enough on an Indian Online News Site I think - titled Jordan spells more misery for Posh over Becks

I will leave it here for posterity.

David Beckham Confesses to Posh.

David Beckham Confession

DAVID Beckham has confessed his passionate affair with Rebecca Loos to his devastated wife, reckons the News of the World

After days and nights of mounting pressure from worried Victoria, he told her: "I did it. I'm sorry. Yes. I did have the affair and I did send Rebecca the text's".

♠ Gamblog comment : Funnily enough this will increase David Beckhams profile. Troubling my mind a tiny wee bit is the thought his good lady and mother of his children - Victoria "posh" Beckham - is somehow to blame and is deservant of such public and personal humiliation. Quite a point of order your honour - can it be so?

Being an ex spice girl is surely not all it's cracked up to be it seems. Hey, the bright side is she need not worry about buying him a return present for the 1.2 million diamond (pink) he just bought her.

To be honest you don't play and get the best out of Roy Keane unless he's captain, as on field influence is his strongest attribute, especially as physically he is on the decline due to his age.

    To Whom this may concern..

♣ I'm writing to add my comments to the many others here regarding spyware programs. All of the spyware programs that exist, with Gator being the largest and most pervasive, present significant ethical violations on many levels, most of which the average consumer/victim isn't even aware of.

Violations of Personal Privacy - It's widely known among those that do business on the internet that these programs exist solely to monitor the user's internet behaviour, gather information about him/her, and send it back to the company, purportedly for advertising purposes. The average internet user/victim, however, is not usually aware of the program's existence on their computer, nor of the fact that it's tracking their behaviour and reporting it to a company.

♣ These programs are typically downloaded onto the user's computer stealthily, added to a "free" service advertised to the user. If the spyware is even disclosed (and many times it's not) it's not truthfully disclosed as what it truly is, nor is the internet user/victim asked if they give permission for the company to track their behaviour and use it for their own purposes. It's all done very deceptively and in many cases, it's done to children under the legal age of consent. But children rarely live alone, and now the spyware is there to track all the users on that computer, including their siblings and parents; none of those people were even given the opportunity to accept or decline the monitoring of their internet behaviour.

In addition to that, when users have tried to remove the spyware from their computers some of the companies leave "trickle down" files on the user's PC. These "trickle down" files, usually buried in the registry, gradually re-download the program back onto the PC until the whole program is back and operating fully again. This is not the work of any company that gets permission to be on the user's computer.

♣ Unfair Business Practices - After all they do to violate the consumer, these companies then turn around and use the information they've gathered to violate the business owners on the internet.

Most of the websites on the internet are owned and operated by individuals seeking to make a living on the internet, but the spyware companies' primary source of business is these websites. They hover like vultures waiting for the consumer to click on an advertisement from one of these sites, then they swoop down to throw an ad for another, competing company, in the consumer's face, oftentimes obliterating the view of the site the consumer wanted to go to. In the real world, this would be akin to Walmart placing employees in front of KMart to block shoppers from going into KMart, while trying to persuade them to go to Walmart instead. This would never be tolerated in the real world, by either the government or the consumers - why is it being tolerated on the internet?

♣ ♣ In summation, spyware is nothing but a program designed to steal from everyone it touches on the internet; it steals the consumer's information and privacy, then it uses that to steal business from honest business owners. It should not be allowed to operate.

Online casino's banning of robot play is an excuse to stall winners.

Ted Loh, fair gaming supporter, staunch player advocate and boss of the Got2Bet Online Gambling Guide has described the banning of robot play in online casino's as a Stupid Casino Trick

    ♣ I strongly agree ♣

I mean i've begged this question of my peers many times spanning over 2 years. Microgaming have fairly recently built an automatic play facility into their new Viper Software so I guess my question has finally been partly answered.

Unless the games have a negative expectation to the house there is no good reason to ban the use of robots. The best reason put forward by various casino's that forbid the use of bots is gamblers make more mistakes when playing by eye.

I find that reasoning quite patronising to be frank and am going to urge Ted to contact his Microgaming contacts to find out whether the introduction of automatic casino play has indeed been a success profits wise or just the opposite, therefore debunking his, various other knowledgable gambling sources and my thoughts on the matter.

♠ I will not be moved until I see some form of proof. It is indeed a stupid casino trick that has been used as an excuse to stall perfectly legitimate casino winners time and time again.

Meet Gambling Webmaster Dean Royston-ing - A North London Aussie.

Q: What is your name or online moniker?

    A: Deaning

Q: What organisation or website do you represent or own?

A: Along with my wife Ellen we run a network of 30 or so sites which we expanded from 4 initial sites, 2 each originally, before we got married videopoker 1 - good casinos - videopoker player and pokerpokerandmorepoker

Q: Could you explain what your organisation or website offers the public?

A: Initially we were offering videopoker, poker and general casino information. We have since expanded on that to more niche information such as my poker tournament search site. I feel the public is more interested in finding valid information rather than having banners and promotions shoved in their faces.

♠ Education is an important aspect and we have integrated such things as paytables, pot odds and anything we felt was not readily available elsewhere. I feel most visitors want to learn, if they just want to blow their money there are a million sites that will help them do just that. LOL.

Q: Any comments as to the current state of play regarding the online gaming industry?

A: The industry exploded as does any venture where entrepreneurs see an opportunity for a buck. Unfortunately this industry has some of the lousiest around. Poor business savvy, ignorance and dishonesty have taken their toll. Look around though, the honest casinos are still standing and that says a big something. There is, I feel, great change just around the corner

♠ The incredible popularity of poker is one example and I think this is due to the interactivity and social aspect of the game and I think interactivity will play an ever increasing role in online entertainment. 90% of what we do on the net is interactive, email, chat, forums and messaging. The current advances in 3D technology means it is only time before you can immerse yourself in an interactive casino world.

♠ ♠ I remember a long time ago reading somewhere that in even the most troubled times gambling, entertainment and bars are the best industries to be in as they fulfil a need unaffected by economic and political climates. I guess the short of it is we always need fun.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to add that is pertinent to your work online or off?

A: Most of my work is online. 20 years ago I wouldn't have believed it would be possible to work from home, doing what you love best and earn a living. The public perception of the portal webmaster has always been of some concern. In any industry you get all types, but those webmasters I know online are great people. I can't think of any area online or off, where people are prepared to share so much information and help others out. I look foward heartily to what the next few years will bring.

♣ ♣ Much obliged to you Deano for taking the time to answer so heartily. ♣ ♣

UK Government congratulated over Internet Gaming regulation proposals

The pre-legislative scrutiny committee has congratulated the UK government on its decision to regulate the remote gambling industry within the UK and has agreed with its stance to allow operators to offer their services in other jurisdictions.

  • Instead the committee said: We agree with the governments vision of a global market where a well-regulated British based industry is able to establish itself as a world leader and would not generally consider it appropriate to prevent UK-based operators providing remote gambling services to non-UK customers"
