Salvation Army Banned By Target Stores

The Salvation Army have been collecting donations outside Target Stores in America forever.

The Mail Tribune say's that Target Corp, which operates 1,272 stores in 47 states, decided earlier this year to end a longtime agreement that allowed the Salvation Army to collect charity donations at its stores at Christmas.

Sorry Santa Claus, your bell ringers are banned ~ is another one of those ass about face decisions that piss me off. To not allow the Salvation Army to collect funds because it's unfair to tell other charities they cannot collect funds from outside their shops is a cop out.

The Salvation Army have been collecting funds here at Target Stores forever and that is how it will stay. Regrettably no other charitable organisation will be afforded the same allowance as The Salvation Army have in this regard and no discussions will be entered into to that affect.

"The Target collections in particular provided funds that paid for 356 bed nights at the agency?s transitional shelter, 1,069 hot meals and 822 food boxes for needy families," Hanson said.
