QPR played
Burnley and smacked them hard at Loftus road today.
QPR - 3Gallen (penalty) 3
Santos 5
Furlong 23
Burnley - 0Big Paul Furlong was back up front next to Gallen this afternoon and Thorpe took young Donnelly's spot on the bench. Marcus Bean also dropped to the bench, but apart from that Ian Holloway named an unchanged side from the one that lost to Wolves 2-1 midweek.
After two 2-1 away defeats on the spin the return of Furlong and the 442 seemed to work wonders. QPR went ahead with a penalty from Gallen after 3 minutes after Santos was fouled in the box. 2 minutes later Santos nodded home a Lee Cook free kick and Furlong finished the game with a 23rd minute strike. That was it, match done.
That puts us 4th in the table, 1 point off of second and 4 behind the leaders Wigan, who also have a game in hand.
I'm off to see a man about a dog.
Beware the Fallen Ranger!
