Fifa president Sepp Blatter has joined the criticism of David Beckham following the England captain's admission that he deliberately got himself booked against Wales.

Hurst said: "I would argue that it brings the country into disrepute.
"I can't possibly imagine that happening in our time - I come from a different planet when it comes to how I feel about that."

Blatter, in Baku for England's World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan, said: "It's disappointing.
"It is not the behaviour that befits an ambassador of football and fair play. Beckham is a role model.
"I will be having a word with Geoff Thompson (the FA chairman) about the situation while I am in Baku. After that it is not up to Fifa."
