Kieron Fallon Injured In Serious Fall

Kieron Fallon Taken To Hospital After Serious Fall

Champion Jockey Kieron Fallon has been taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary Hospital after what has been described as a serious fall in the next to last race at the Leicester flat race meeting today.

Fallon, who was riding Maritima, got caught up in some scrimmaging 2 furlongs for home and came out at the wrong end of the tussle.

Of course, the Jockey's Championship is over now after Fallon's fall on Maritima. Especially as Frankie Dettori rode a treble today. Not that it matters much in comparison to Fallon's health.

Charlie Mccann described the fall as "awful" and said "Kieron Fallon was caught by horses coming from behind while on the ground. He was concious when he was in the ambulance but was complaining of severe back pain".
Leicester racecourse clerk of the course Jimmy Stevens said "Kieron Fallon has been taken to hospital after a serious fall, but indeed was concious while on the racetrack receiving first aid treatment and also when he left in an ambulance".
