Sol Campbell and Gary Neville are solid and agressive out and out defenders. Ashley Cole is good going forward and Rio Ferdinand is a decent ball playing centre back who can actually defend. Yip, they can play ball for sure.

For England's sake decent back up is helpful too.

Left back - I think Wayne Bridge is a decent enough young player to cover Ashley Cole.
Centre back - John Terry and Ledley King are top players. Ledley King can even pass properly and does not look out of place playing the ball winners role in midfield.
Right back - The under rated/over rated Womble Phil Neville is a great replacement for his brother Neville and the younster at Chelsea Johnson is an animal of a player. A highly outstanding young right full back who will come through with a wallop one day.
