Boxer Amir Khan To Turn Pro

Listening to the reports it seems boy wonder Amir Khan will indeed turn pro sooner rather than later.

Apparently The Amateur Boxing Association (ABA) have offered Amir Khan about 300 grand to stay in the amateurs. Sounds very "un-amateur-like" to me. Maybe the ABA have a deal to cut with the The Beeb over some TV rights soon? Who knows heheh...

Anyway, Amir Khan Should Turn Pro and make his money as soon as possible. The Amatuer Boxing Association cannot afford to support Amir forever if he hits some bad luck and does'nt last another 4 years in the ring. It only takes 1 punch right? Right.

British Boxing.net Writer and Middleweight gold medalalist at the 1968 Olympics Chris Finnegan reckons Amir Khan should turn to pro boxing as soon as possible.

Chris Finnegan won the Middleweight gold medal at the 1968 Olympics, beating Aleksei Kisselyov, (Soviet Union) in the final. I had the pleasure of talking to him about Amir Khan and his own olympic achievements.

'I think he should turn pro, you never know what is going to happen over the next few years, he should go and make his money while he can, his career could go downhill, why waste the opportunity to make the money while he can?'"
