My choice to lift the Womens 100 metres crown for the women's this time round is experienced Bahamian sprinter Debbie Ferguson.

The Olympics 100 Metres is not quite a 2 runner race and there are other ladies who are in with a fair shout of lifting the Womens 100 Metre title. Aileen Bailey (Jam) is a lively outsider, Veronica Campbell (another Jamaican sprinter) and American Lauryn Williams will be in the final no doubt. It would be remiss of me to not mention Gail Devers and Merlene Ottey, neither of whome has been in the greatest of form this year, but are always dangerous. Ela Thanou is always strong too and there are others to consider so do your homework before you bet.
