The Olympic 100 Metre Crown will go this year to either Maurice Greene or Asafa Powell.
Maurice Greene is coming into good form right now and broke the 10 second barrier in his last 100 metre race. Greene will be in the final for sure bar injury. In fact Maurice Greene will pretty much jog to the Olympic 100 metre final.
Asafa Powell is a 21 year old Jamaican sprinter of both the 100 metres and 200 metres disciplines. This year Asafa has broken the 10 second barrier regularly and even managed to do so after a stumbled start. Asaafa Powell will too jog through to the 100 metre Olympic final.
Kim Collins will be the liveliest outsider in the 100 metres this year and could well be the one for the EW betting punters. Collins too is almost guaranteed a 100 metre final berth bar injury.
My choice is to side with the more experienced sprinter in Maurice Greene. It will be tight but Greene will prevail over Asafa Powell in a tightly run affair. The Olympic romanticists will be thinking a new 100 metre record will be set under the backdrop of the Athens skyline, but I doubt that will happen personally.

Take MAURICE GREENE at 11- before the price shortens which it surely must. When the 100 metre Final is run Maurice Greene will be a starter and will not be available at a price of 11-4 then.
