UK Government congratulated over Internet Gaming regulation proposals

  • The committees stance will disappoint the USA, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden which were hoping that the report would recommend the remote operators not take bets from territories where online gambling is prohibited.
  • Instead the committee said: We agree with the governments vision of a global market where a well-regulated British based industry is able to establish itself as a world leader and would not generally consider it appropriate to prevent UK-based operators providing remote gambling services to non-UK customers"
